I would like to thank all of you who supported Nicole Hagner and Bob Gallop for Township Committee. We on the Township Committee all understand that you have put your trust in us to serve all of the citizens of Chatham Township to the best of our ability, and we will continue to do just that!

2008 has started off very well for Chatham Township. At our Township Committee reorganization meeting, Nicole and Bob were sworn in and Bailey Brower and I were honored to be selected to again serve as your Deputy Mayor and Mayor respectively. In March, NJ Monthly Magazine selected Chatham Township as the Best Place to Live in New Jersey. In March, NJ Monthly Magazine selected Chatham Township as the Best Place to Live in New Jersey. This is something that all residents of Chatham Township should be duly proud of.  In March, we were also honored to host Congressman Frelinghuysen for a town hall meeting, and in April we opened the new Castle Park for the enjoyment of residents young and old.

On June 2, you will have the opportunity to vote in the Republican Primary for two of my colleagues on the Township Committee, Former Mayor Bill O’Connor and Deputy Mayor Bailey Brower. Both of these men are running for their third term on the Township Committee and have long distinguished records of public service. I believe that our Township Committee is working well as a team on your behalf and I encourage you to re-elect these two public servants to continue to help us meet our challenging future. There are also contested races for a US Senate Seat from New Jersey and for our Congressional Representative. The winners of these contests will run on the Republican ticket in November headed by Republican Presidential Candidate Senator John McCain.

2008 will be an important election year at a Federal level as well as on a local level and the decisions that we all will make will be important ones. Please get involved and educated and vote for those individuals who best share your hopes, dreams and values.
